What they told you, but you didn't listen!

I've wanted to be a mother, ever since I was a little girl. Carrying around my doll, Tracy, and making sure she was in bed all tucked in nicely. I became a nursery nurse at 18, and one of the staff said, "you'll either have a baby really young, or you'll wait a really long time". Well, I'm 34 now, and just had my first baby. A little boy who, suddenly, is 4 and a half months old - where has that time gone?!

"Cherish every moment" they said, "It'll go so fast" I got told - I nodded, smiled and said I know, oh how I didn't! At what point did my gorgeous baby grow out of the newborn phase? When did those newborn nappies cease to fit and those vests look like they have shrunk in the wash?! Why didn't I listen? Oh yeah, because I thought I knew what I was doing!
